My father was an artist. I have early memories of his work, of being dragged around art galleries, the smell and texture of oil paint, and an air of anxiety around exhibition time – all familiar to my childhood. I inherited my first camera when I was 12 from Dad, but found my natural affinity to medium and practice in my later teens, culminating with studying sculpture at the Victorian College of the Arts. Life got in the way and following a 20 year international career in professional photography, I had cause to return to art. Reemergence led to a new engagement and conversation around that most intuitive –  spatial practice.
